Nottingham Forest were beaten 2-1 by Blackburn Rovers at the City Ground.
Martin O’Neill’s men were second best for the vast majority of the contest, with goals from Joe Rothwell and Danny Graham compounding Forest’s misery.
Ryan Yates pulled one back for the Reds but it wasn’t to be.
Following the third successive defeat for Forest, we rated the players out of 10 as follows…
Costel Pantilimon – 7
Powerless to prevent the Blackburn goals and made a couple of good stops to keep the score down.
Sam Byram – 7
The ex-Leeds United man was in solid form yet again. It’s a wonder where Forest would be had Byram been fit all season.
Jack Robinson – 5
Not his finest game in a Forest shirt. Did some good things and some poor things. Will need to up his game if tasked with playing centre-back at Sheffield United.
Molla Wague – 6
Steady without doing anything spectacular. Not entirely convinced he’ll be back at the City Ground next season.
Jack Colback – 7
A decent performance again from the captain. He’s better utilised as a midfielder rather than a left-back on this showing.
Pele – 6
A good performance from the uncompromising Frenchman. Worked well at both ends of the pitch.
Ryan Yates – 6
Added another goal to his tally and looked steady throughout the contest.
Matty Cash – 6
Claimed the official Man of the Match in the stadium and was energetic in attack. Forest have more balance with him in the team.
Joe Lolley – 7
Tried his hardest to get the Reds back into the game but it just wasn’t to be for the winger.
Arvin Appiah – 6
Looks solid in his first home start. The youngster looks set for a bright future in the game.
Lewis Grabban – 5
On another day he could have claimed a hat-trick. Should have done much better with a one-on-one in the first half.
