Nottingham Forest supporters will have been fairly satisfied with the club’s transfer business during the summer; especially considering a steady nine points from the first six games.
The club’s recruitment in the last 12 months, on the whole, hasn’t been bad and the club does seem to be going in the right direction.
It hasn’t always worked out for the Reds, however.
In September 2016 eyebrows were raised when boss Philippe Montanier lured ex-Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner to the City Ground.
The Danish striker never really hit it off on Trentside. In 17 outings for the club, he scored just twice in games against Newcastle and Fulham.
This week saw the 31-year-old get himself fixed up with a new club.
He penned a deal to sign for FC Copenhagen in his homeland and instantly became a social media hit.
During his first training session with his new charges, he was snapped taking efforts at goal and it’s fair to say that not many of them were bulging the net!

The footage will surely spark some bad memories for those of a Forest persuasion.
He never looked like showing the sort of form that saw him earn so many years at a club the size of Arsenal.
Montanier’s spell at Forest was about as bleak as it as been in recent memory and Bendtner was just one on a list of truly shocking signings made by the club that season.
After his brief stint with the Reds, Bendtner signed for Rosenborg where he scored 24 goals in 57 appearances for the Norwegian giants.
