Nottingham Forest made it three successive victories by beating Blackburn Rovers 3-2 at the City Ground.

A brace from Lewis Grabban and a Joe Lolley strike saw the Reds move up to fourth in the Sky Bet Championship.

Boss Sabri Lamouchi will have been happier with the performance after an ugly win over Wigan on Sunday.

Following yesterday’s game, Nottingham Forest News rated the players’ performances out of 10:

Brice Samba – 7

Didn’t have a great deal to do but did make a tremendous stop just before the interval to deny Adam Armstong.

Matty Cash – 7

Played well again and coped well up against the interchanging Armstrong and Stewart Downing.

Joe Worrall – 7

Looked calm and composed but for a moment of madness in the second half when he put through his own goal.

Tobias Figueiredo – 9

Simply colossus. The Portuguese defender is looking like Forest’s best centre-back with every performance of this nature.

Chema Rodriguez – 7

Was withdrawn just after helping Forest towards a second goal. Lamouchi confirmed afterwards that he was nursing a hip injury.

Ben Watson – 7

Broke play up with aplomb and led by example in the middle of the park. Did allow Downing to run clear for Blackburn’s first goal.

Samba Sow – 8

Went off in the second half to a standing ovation and was superb in the midfield engine room.

Joe Lolley – 8

Looked to be edging back to his best with a standout performance. Ended his goal drought by curling in an absolute beauty to open the scoring

Tiago Silva – 8

Boasted an array of tricks and flicks once again and put in a really energetic performance in the final third.

Sammy Ameobi – 8

Made himself a nuisance in front of the goalkeeper for Lolley’s opener and claimed a gorgeous assist for Grabban’s second goal.

Lewis Grabban – 9

Sensational from the Forest talisman. The myth about the Reds man being lazy should now be put to bed. The 31-year-old never stopped running.

Jack Robinson (Rodriguez, 27′) – 6

Alfa Semedo (Sow, 67′) – 6

Albert Adomah (Lolley, 87′) – N/A
