Nottingham Forest were made to work hard for three points against a dogged Bristol City side at the City Ground.
The Reds ran out 1-0 winners thanks to a moment of sublime magic from Tiago Silva who curled a majestic free-kick beyond Daniel Bentley.
It moves Forest above Fulham on goal difference with the Reds set to face Derby on Saturday sitting in fourth place in the Championship.
The performance wasn’t Forest’s best of the campaign but Sabri Lamouchi’s team showed a lot of heart, determination and resilience to take a step closer to the play-offs.
Following yesterday’s game we analysed the players and marked their performances out of 10.
Brice Samba – 7
A steady performance from the goalkeeper who dealt with what he had to with relative ease.
Matty Cash – 8
Took a boot to the face for his efforts and defended solidly throughout the contest.
Joe Worrall – 9
A brilliant performance from the academy prospect who has looked in fine form since the restart.
Tobias Figueiredo – 9
Produced a stunning clearance from under his own crossbar with Nahki Wells waiting to pounce.
Yuri Ribeiro – 9
Does Forest’s Duracell bunny ever stop running? Was unbelievably energetic down the left-hand side for Forest.
Ben Watson – 7
Calm and composed and kept things ticking over nicely for Forest.
Ryan Yates – 9
One of the midfielder’s better performances for Forest. Was clattered by Daniel Bentley in the second half but was tenacious throughout.
Tiago Silva – 7.5
His moment of magic settled the contest although in general, this wasn’t his best performance in a Forest shirt.
Sammy Ameobi – 6.5
Didn’t really get going, although he did show some tidy hold up play as Forest tried to run the clock down.
Joe Lolley – 6.5
Hooked at half-time as Sabri Lamouchi tried to shake up his team. Will hope for more joy on Saturday at Derby.
Lewis Grabban – 7.5
Ran his socks off once again and held the ball up with aplomb for the Reds.
Nuno Da Costa (Lolley, HT) – 7.5
Looks to have the ability to become a decent player for Forest. Once again worked hard to get his team going.
