Nottingham Forest will head to Millwall this weekend looking to kick on after beating Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 on Tuesday.

The Reds are still just outside the relegation zone and boss Chris Hughton will want his team to continue in winning ways.

Forest have endured a tough few months but the performance on Tuesday at least provided some positivity.

Ahead of today’s game we looked at the line-up which Hughton could call upon this afternoon at the New Den.

In goal and back four

Brice Samba will continue in goal and there is no real need for anything to chance with the back five.

Cyrus Christie and Yuri Ribeiro should both start at full-back after decent showings in the week.

The only decision is whether to reinstate Tobias Figueiredo who will return to the squad following suspension.

Loic Mbe Soh was decent in the week though and the £4.5 million player should keep his place alongside Joe Worrall.

Midfield

Ryan Yates is likely to start and Forest will hope Samba Sow is in good health after Tuesday.

The 31-year-old is a quality player but has struggled all too often with injuries.

He was arguably Forest’s best player in the win over Wednesday and having him available could be the difference between a positive result at Millwall.

Harry Arter will therefore remain on the bench.

In attack

Lewis Grabban made a goalscoring return to action in midweek and Hughton has a conundrum.

Lyle Taylor picked up a knock at although he is fit enough for the squad today, Grabban could be handed a start.

Behind him, Cafu was another standout performer against the Owls and he should keep his place as the number ten.

On the flanks there could be a change.

Sammy Ameobi looks a certainty to start after his performance in midweek but Alex Mighten might be dropped to the bench.

He was impressive last time out but at 18 and against a physical Lions side, Hughton might look towards the experienced Anthony Knockaert instead.

Mighten will take a place among the substitutes.

Here is how today’s team might look:
