The agent of Manchester City starlet Issa Kabore has jetted into England amid reports of a move to Nottingham Forest.
The Burkina Faso international spent last season on loan with Troyes and the Citizens have a decision to make.
Kabore wants to play regular football and right now, he’s unlikely to do that with the Premier League champions.
The 21-year-old’s stock has risen considerably during the last 12 months.
He made 32 appearances for Troyes and was also named the Young Player of the Tournament during the AFCON.
Now, he could be in line for a summer transfer and Forest are one of the clubs linked with a move.
Kabore would make an ideal alternative to Djed Spence.
The Tottenham-bound player looks set to sign for the North Londoners following his exploits at Forest during 2021/22.
That leaves Steve Cooper with a bit of a conundrum with wing-backs a very important part of how his team plays.
Kabore would be a useful addition as he’s the same sort of player as Spence.
The 27-cap international is great going forward and has the energy to be running up and down all game.
Now, his agent Revien Kanhai has taken to Instagram to suggest that he’s in meetings at City’s training ground.
His client’s future will be on the agenda and Forest will be hopeful of some good news.
Kabore linked with move to Forest but they must seek a permanent deal
The youngster would be a very useful signing for the Reds to make this summer – but they must seek a permanent deal.
Forest are set to sign Dean Henderson on a temporary deal until the end of the season.
As a result, only one more loan player from a Premier League club will be permitted in the Forest squad.
The Reds have been stung with loan players before and they cant let lightning strike twice in the same place.
Kabore must be sought on a permanent deal and if that request isn’t granted, Forest would be wise to walk away.
