Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Dean Henderson has lauded Tottenham striker Harry Kane as one of the toughest strikers to face.
The Reds custodian was speaking to Sky Sports from the England camp and heaped praise on the centre-forward.
Henderson has already come up against Kane this season during the 2022/23 campaign, with mixed fortunes against him.
The Tottenham man netted both of his team’s goals during a 2-0 win at the City Ground.
In the same fixture, Henderson did save a penalty from his England teammate to deny him even more success on Trentside.
The goalkeeper was quizzed on his toughest opponents and the Spurs star was the first name to come into his head.
He told the Sky Sports Premier League YouTube channel: “Harry Kane for sure, he just slaps the ball hard, he just slaps it into the corners, he can go either way, you have to be constantly ready for it.
“He’s ridiculous in shooting drills and that, he’s unbelievable. He has such a pure technique and he’s so hard to read because he turns his foot at the last second. He is top, fair play to him, he’s quality.”
Kane lauded by Henderson
The striker is class. Some of the stick he gets is frankly absurd and he will finish his career as one of England’s top strikers of all time.
Henderson is a goalkeeper who isn’t afraid to face these strikers. He’s got plenty of Premier League experience and that bodes well for Forest.
Hopefully, along with the defensive unit, Henderson can help Forest start to keep more clean sheets as the season progresses.
The Reds are conceding far too frequently at the moment and if that continues relegation will be guaranteed.
Henderson does provide safe hands though and he should get even better with more games he plays for the Reds.
