Nottingham Forest star Dean Henderson has heaped praise on Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford during an interview with Sky Sports.
The Forest stopper was quizzed on his toughest opponents and which player hits the ball the hardest in training.
Henderson was keen to heap praise on Rashford. He also touched upon a ruthless streak that the player adopts – even when it comes to training!
The 25-year-old joined Forest on loan during the summer transfer window, ending a frustrating 12 months playing second fiddle at Manchester United.
Henderson won his place back in the England squad for the recent Nations League games and the World Cup will now be in his sights.
Rashford wasn’t called up by Gareth Southgate this time but Henderson has given some praise to the United star.
He told Sky Sports: “Rashford can slap it, mate!
“Marcus will be eight yards away, he doesn’t care, you’re in his way. He will just slap it straight at you.
“You can’t even move. You want to get out of the way but you can’t. It stings so much.”
Rashford has enjoyed a fantastic start to the 2022/23 campaign and is proving his critics wrong.
He’s scored three times and claimed two assists from his six appearances this season and will hope to force his way into the World Cup squad.
Henderson delivers praise to Rashford
Forest will need to monitor the United forward closely when they head to Old Trafford on Boxing Day.
For Henderson, he will have to pass on the advice to Wayne Hennessey as he will be ineligible for both contests against the Red Devils.
Forest are extremely lucky to have Henderson in their ranks for the 2022/23 campaign.
Other clubs were keen to take him on loan, including Newcastle before they moved to sign Nick Pope permanently.
Henderson will be integral to Forest’s fortunes during the season as Forest aim to stay in the Premier League.
Thankfully, he won’t have to face Rashford this season!
