The Reds won the game with a goal in the second half. It came after Wilfried Zaha had fired a first-half penalty wide of Dean Henderson’s goal.
Forest have started to find their feet as a Premier League club. The Reds have now lost one of their last six matches and look to be moving in the right direction at last.
The form of Gibbs-White is going to be key to survival. Forest paid £25 million upfront to land the player from Wolves and he could cost up to £42.5 million.
Forest are extremely lucky to have Gibbs-White. Last season he scored 12 goals for Sheffield United as they reached the Championship play-offs.
It’s clear that the 22-year-old has talent. After being a regular in the England under-21 team, the player could now have his sights on 2024.
Forest are now firmly in the mix to secure survival. Yesterday’s win saw them climb off the foot of the Premier League and they now have a fighting chance.
The Reds have tough games to come after the World Cup. Manchester United and Chelsea are the next two fixtures, with Southampton to follow.
They will be hoping for some more Gibbs-White magic as the season progresses and the team bid to stay up this season.
Gibbs-White received praise after Forest display
The Reds star has been a very decent addition to the Forest ranks and it would appear he’s a popular member of the dressing room.
Brewster played with Gibbs-White last season and he wrote: “Only getting started.”
Toffolo has been in the same team as the youngster on several occasions this season and he wrote: “Morgan, just incredible.”
Gibbs-White is worshipped by the Forest fan base and they’ve enjoyed watching him progress as a player.
The challenge for the talented attacker is to stay fit and continue firing Forest up the league table.
If Gibbs-White can do that, more praise will be on its way.
