Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White captained England Under-21s yesterday and he’s been praised by the national media. The Reds’ record signing captained the side for the first time and helped the Three Lions claim a 4-0 victory.
It proved a comprehensive victory for the Young Lions. Gibbs-White assisted Emile Smith Rowe to score the first goal; with Noni Madueke, Curtis Jones and Jacob Ramsey also bagging.

For Gibbs-White the game will live long in the memory. He will hope that being trusted as the captain of the young England squad means that he’s firmly in the picture for a senior call-up.
Gibbs-White’s assist for the first goal yesterday was sublime. He switched the ball onto his right foot away from the defender and whipped a delightful ball onto the head of Smith Rowe who duly obliged.
The national media were really impressed with Gibbs-White during his latest outing for the Under-21s and had some high praise for him.
Football London said of his performance: “Produced exactly what was expected of him. Bags of confidence and ability that we’ve seen with Nottingham Forest throughout this season. Delivered a splendid ball for Smith Rowe’s opener.
Gibbs-White praised by national media
The 23-year-old really is a wonderful player. He was signed amid plenty of criticism from supporters of other clubs, based on the fee that Forest could end up paying for him.

The Reds need him fit and firing ready for their final 11 games of the Premier League campaign. Forest are slipping closer to the relegation zone and are in desperate need of a victory or two.
Forest are lucky to have Gibbs-White in their ranks. He’s a player that is already on the radar of England boss Gareth Southgate and he could be the man to fire Forest to safety.
