Tim Sherwood has heaped praise on Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White, comparing the player to Jack Grealish. The Reds secured their Premier League status with a 1-0 win over Arsenal on Saturday evening.
Gibbs-White signed for the Reds from Wolves for a fee that could rise to £42.5 million. He’s justified that price tag considerably and currently has five goals and seven assists to his name this season.

Forest can look forward to a long and fruitful relationship with Gibbs-White. He is a star of the future and next season he will surely benefit from a year of regular Premier League football.
The 23-year-old has been a very useful addition during 2022/23. He’s played more games than any other Forest player this season and he’s been integral to Steve Cooper’s team.
After winning promotion last season, Gibbs-White was always going to be Cooper’s number-one target. Now, Sherwood has heaped praise on the Forest man after his latest fine performance.
He told Premier League Productions: “He takes the pressure off the defenders and he takes the ball. A bit like (Jack) Grealish when he takes the pressure off.
“I think £40 million seemed like a lot of money, but I think by the time next season comes, and the fact they’ve stayed in the Premier League, then I think he will be a cheap signing.
“He has realised that Steve Cooper, someone he knew from the underage England groups, has put his arm around him. The head coach has made him the main man and he’s repaid him. He’s been brilliant this season.”
Sherwood heaped praise on Gibbs-White after Forest win
The plaudits just keen rolling in for Gibbs-White. And why shouldn’t they, with the player one of the standout players of the Premier League over the last six weeks?
Sherwood is the latest to praise him for his efforts and boast about his potential. Earlier this week Jamie Carragher picked him as his signing of the season.

Gibbs-White will now go to the Under-21 European Championship with England full of confidence. Hopefully, he doesn’t get injured and can enjoy a long rest afterwards.
The signing of Gibbs-White already looks like money well spent from Forest’s perspective and there will be more to come next season.
