Ahead of today’s game at the City Ground, Seat Pitch, in partnership with KickOff.co.uk, brings you an exclusive statistical preview of Nottingham Forest v Hull City…

On the back of Tuesday’s defeat at Portman Road, Nottingham Forest will be looking to pick up three points from a Hull City side three places and three points above them in the table.

Forest are 2.5 for the win with William Hill while Hull are 3.1 with Ladbrokes and a draw is 3.3 with Sporting Bet.

Billy Sharp and Dexter Blackstock are favourites to be first goalscorer at 6.5 with Bet365 and 7 with Ladbrokes respectively. Hull’s Sone Aluko is 8 with Sky Bet and Jay Simpson is 9 with William Hill.

Forest haven’t conceded at home for three games and, of the last 20 home games, they’ve gone on to win seven of the eight matches in which they scored first. On that basis, 1-0 at 8.5 with Bwin and 2-1 at 9.5 with Bet365 look good odds.

Simon Cox and Radoslaw Majewski remain sidelined, while Greg Halford and Jermaine Jenas (both calf injuries) remain doubts for the match. Hull’s Aluko is suffering from a knock to the knee and a slight calf problem but is expected to be fit for Saturday’s game. Jack Hobbs and Tom Cairney, both played 90 minutes for Hull’s reserves on Wednesday night, will travel with the squad but are unlikely to feature.
