Ahead of Saturday’s game at the City Ground, Seat Pitch, in partnership with KickOff.co.uk, brings you an exclusive statistical preview of Nottingham Forest v Burnley…

While the 4-1 loss at home to Millwall was put down to a ‘bad day at the office’, subsequent performances against Ipswich and Hull go beyond easy excuses… which is why the possible return of Daniel Ayala, Greg Halford, Radi Majewski and the healing ankle of Simon Cox should offer some hope for the Reds.

Burnley come into the game with similar form to the home side — three losses, two draws and two wins since former Forest player Sean Dyche took over from Eddie Howe as manager in October. And, of course, his former team mates Tony Loughlan and City Ground favourite Ian Woan have teamed up with him at Turf Moor.

Burnley will be without defender Ben Mee, who is facing several weeks on the sidelines with a knee injury he sustained in the 1-1 draw against Blackburn.

Forest are favourites at 2.1 with Sporting Bet while Burnley are 3.6 with Ladbrokes. The draw is 3.5 with Bet365.

Billy Sharp and Charlie Austin are both expected to be first goalscorer at 6 with Sky Bet. For an outside bet, Chris Cohen is 21 with Bwin.

Goals are to be expected — particularly given that 0-0 is 13 with Sporting Bet — with 1-1 at 7.5 with William Hill and Forest to win 1-0 at 9 or 2-1 at 8.5 both with Ladbrokes.
