Nottingham Forest midfielder Henri Lansbury has signed a new contract, committing himself to the City Ground for another three years
The 23-year-old had been subject to a £3.5 million bid from Premier League-newcomers Burnley but has ended speculation about his future by putting pen to paper.
The Enfield-born player arrived from Arsenal in 2012 in a £1 million four-year deal after loan spells at Scunthorpe United, Watford, Norwich City and West Ham United.
Yet to play this season, after picking up an injury against Porto B last month in a friendly, he is expected to return to full fitness soon.

Stuart Pearce told the Nottingham Post yesterday: “His dream will be to play in the Premier League and play international football. Maybe he now sees that he is at a football club where he could get that opportunity, without having to move.
“I am just pleased that players want to commit themselves, for the longer term, to this football club. The players themselves can see; they look round the dressing room at the players around them and think to themselves that, if we can keep improving, we can have a real tilt at this Championship this season.
“Seriously, Henri has seen what is developing around him. That is the biggest thing you can deliver to any player – a good environment, a learning environment and an environment where he has seen talented players coming through the door.”
Pearce also said Jack Hobbs is not for sale, despite rumours of an approach from tomorrow’s opponents Reading.
