With the countdown to Christmas now well and truly on, Seat Pitch brings you a unique take on the customary advent calendar with a Nottingham Forest twist.

We have 25 doors to open, with familiar faces from the present and past waiting behind each one (sorry, no chocolate).

At the end of the year, we will then compile the ultimate Reds squad made up of those voted into each number. You can have your say by getting involved with our daily Twitter polls.

Let’s keep things rolling with door No. 13:

Initially linked up with the Reds on loan from Southampton in January 2014 and kept the No. 13 shirt after penning a three-year deal with the club that summer.

Has now spent more time with Forest than he has any of his previous clubs, taking in well over 100 appearances, with early critics silenced after proving to be a productive option – and captain material – at centre-half.

Moved to the City Ground as Forest were plotting a return to the Premier League 1993/94, but saw injury drop him behind Mark Crossley in the pecking order after initially being handed a starting berth.

Was linked with a return to the Reds in 2016 amid a search for a successor to Dougie Freedman, but opted to remain at St Johnstone and continues to impress as a coach in Scotland.

Like Wright, another Northern Ireland international goalkeeper that struggled to make his mark with Forest.

Had been a fan favourite at Hull City – where he even recorded two goals – but made just a handful of appearances for the Reds amid fierce competition for just one spot between the sticks.
