Nottingham Forest are set for a busy January on the transfer front with both incomings and outgoings expected.
The Reds signed several new players during the summer and some players will probably leave the club in order to balance the books.
One man who seems certain to move towards new pastures is midfielder Liam Bridcutt.
According to Football Insider, Bridcutt could be set to move on loan to Ipswich Town in January, with boss Paul Lambert keen on signing the combative performer.
Lack of match action
The 29-year-old has played just one minute of league football this season and hasn’t featured at all since Forest’s EFL Cup exit at the hands of Burton Albion.

Given his age, it is vital that he is playing regular football and that doesn’t seem forthcoming at the City Ground, with the player way down the pecking order.
Briductt featured regularly for Forest under former boss Mark Warburton but things haven’t quite worked out for him under Aitor Karanka, who has seen him more as a peripheral figure.
The ex-Leeds United man can still be a decent Championship player but it seems like his days at the City Ground are numbered.
Karanka will want to offload some fringe players as he looks to free up funds for his own new arrivals and Bridcutt is looking increasingly like being sacrificed.
The Seat Pitch Verdict
Briductt is by no means the worst player to have ever worn a Forest shirt but his face hasn’t really fit with Aitor Karanka.
The defensive midfielder is quite simply a poorer version of Claudio Yacob and Jack Colback and given their form, it is easy to see why he has slipped down the pecking order.
Given their current predicament, Bridcutt would be an ideal addition for Ipswich Town and he is exactly the sort of player that excites boss Paul Lambert.
Bridcutt is the type of player who will always put in an honest shift, making him a welcome addition to a side battling to stave off the threat of relegation.
