With Christmas now very nearly upon us, Seat Pitch brings you a unique take on the customary advent calendar with a Nottingham Forest twist.

We have 25 doors to open, with familiar faces from the present and past waiting behind each one (sorry, no chocolate).

At the end of the year, we will then compile the ultimate Reds squad made up of those voted into each number. You can have your say by getting involved with our daily Twitter polls.

Let’s keep things rolling with door No. 24:

Spent much of the 2013/14 campaign on loan at the City Ground, and did more than enough to earn a permanent switch from Sunderland.

Offered a touch of Premier League quality to the Reds during a difficult period and departed at the end of last season having taken in more than 100 appearances across five seasons.

Looking like another piece of fine transfer business by Aitor Karanka, with the Argentine having been snapped up on a free in September following his release by West Brom.

His combative qualities in the middle of the park have been embraced by the Reds, with it hoped that he can provide the steel for a sustained promotion push in 2018/19.

A proven marksman and one currently lighting the Championship up once more with his beloved Sheffield United.

Spent the 2012/13 season on loan at the City Ground from Southampton and finished as the club’s top scorer with 11 efforts to his name despite never being as prolific as he has been elsewhere.

Would you prefer to see somebody else fill the No. 24 spot – Christian Edwards, Aaron Ramsey? Let us know your selection in the comment box below or reply to the Twitter poll – which can be found here.
