Nottingham Forest have recently been linked with a potential move for Portsmouth winger Jamal Lowe.
The Nottingham Post have reported that the 24-year-old is on the Reds’ radar this month.
Former Forest winger Oliver Burke had also been linked with a return to the City Ground.
However, it was announced that he had joined Celtic on loan earlier today, via their official website.
Whether this results in Forest ramping up their interest in Lowe remains to be seen.
It is clearly a position that the Reds are looking to strengthen, so could Lowe be the answer?
Room for additions to be made
With the likes of Ben Watson, Liam Bridcutt and Diogo Gonçalves likely to depart, there will be room for Aitor Karanka to make additions.
A Michail Antonio-type winger appears to be high on the Spaniard’s wishlist.
Pace and power are two attributes that are required to be a successful forward in the Championship, something Lowe seems to have in abundance.
Lowe has found the back of the net 11 times in all competitions, playing a key role in Portsmouth’s season so far.
That isn’t a bad record for a winger.
In addition to his goals, Lowe has also racked up four assists.
It would be a surprise if he wasn’t able to make the step up to the Championship.

Plenty of interest in Lowe
Lowe has taken to League One football with ease since joining Pompey from non-league side Hampton and Richmond Borough in January 2017.
This is not the first time clubs from higher up have expressed an interest in his services.
The likes of Leeds United, West Bromwich Albion and Middlesbrough are all reportedly interested in the winger, if the Nottingham Post is to be believed.
In summary, with Forest currently sat just four points off the playoffs, Lowe could be exactly the sort of player required to push them right back into the promotion picture.
