Nottingham Forest boast a rather chequered history when it comes to winter transfer dealings, so what does January 2019 have in store?
The Reds have rarely been flush with cash down the years, with it only recently that the coffers have been swelled by owners prepared to make funds available.
As a result, much of the business carried out since the introduction of the mid-season market in 2002/03 has been of the loan variety.
With said window remaining open past the deadline for permanent deals, many fresh faces have been acquired outside of the first month.
Plenty of moves have been made, though, with those brought on board delivering a mixed bag when it comes to the respective success/failure of said additions.

Darren Huckerby
Actually arrived at the City Ground in early February 2003 so isn’t technically a January deal, but he was a winter signing and it’s my list and I’ll do what I want!
Recorded five goals in nine appearances for the Reds after returning to his roots in Nottingham.
Helped to secure a play-off spot and thrived alongside David Johnson and Marlon Harewood in a fearsome attacking unit.
If Forest could find someone of Huckerby’s ilk 16 years on, then another top-six finish may well be on the cards.
Adlene Guedioura
Was on the fringes of the fold at Wolves when first linking up with the Reds in January 2012.
Quickly endeared himself to the Forest faithful with his all-action displays, and recorded his first goal for the club when netting a thunderbolt of a 35-yard strike in a 7-3 demolition of Leeds.
Was snapped up on a permanent basis at the end of his initial loan, but would take in just one full season before moving on to Watford.
Returned to the banks of the Trent in January 2018 and while he may now be 33 years of age, his energy and eye for the spectacular remains a useful asset for Aitor Karanka.
Gary Gardner
A player that looked so good Forest signed him twice.
That may have been a mistake in hindsight, with a first spell at the City Ground proving to be considerably better than his second.
He did contribute stunning goals in each of his stints with the Reds, with long-range efforts against Reading and Hull City set to live long in the memory.
Looked a shrewd addition after being snapped up from Aston Villa in January 2015, but struggled to deliver on the excitement and expectation which surrounded his return 12 months later.
Joe Lolley
An absolute steal at £500,000 in January 2018.
It is remarkable to think, given their struggles for attacking spark in the Premier League, that Huddersfield could find no regular role for Lolley.
Their loss has been Forest’s gain, with his destructive left foot having delivered plenty of memorable moments for the Reds.
Has expressed a desire to remain with the club amid unwelcome transfer talk and will be looking to rediscover his early-season form over the coming weeks.
Jack Colback
The value of the hard-working midfielder is starting to be recognised by more and more people during a second spell with the Reds.
Karanka first moved to secure his services upon taking the Forest reins in January of last year.
A versatile performer with bags of top-flight experience, Colback adds much-needed graft and guile to the midfield engine room.
Returned to the City Ground on a season-long agreement over the summer, with many now calling for a permanent deal to be struck if the opportunity presents itself.
