Nottingham Forest slipped to a 2-0 defeat at Reading in the first game following the departure of Aitor Karanka who left the club on Friday.
The Reds were way below par in Berkshire and the club must now act fast to appoint a manager ahead of two big home games.
Simon Ireland took temporary charge and it was a truly miserably Forest performance.

Ireland saw his side reduced to nine men following with Danny Fox and Tendayi Darikwa both shown red cards.
It was Fox who came in for the most criticism following the reverse; with many supporters feeling that the captain had let the team down.
The veteran defender was shown a second yellow card for getting involved in a scuffle that didn’t really need his input.
After such a disappointing showing Forest fans weren’t feeling overly sympathetic towards Fox who only recently returned to the side.
The two sending-offs do leave the Reds with something of a defensive crisis ahead of next weekend’s massive home game.
Following Fox’s moment of madness Seat Pitch reviewed the best Tweets…
Come at me if you don’t like this but why on earth were our fans clapping and chanting Danny Fox’s name when he got the red ? Our supposed captain has let the club down, absolutely pathetic what he did, there was no need. He’s cost us today. #nffc

Dont get this obsession with Danny Fox. Hes a bang average player at best. We need much better quality at the back if we want to even get close to the playoffs. #NFFC
