Nottingham Forest defender Jack Robinson says it won’t be long before the club’s new signings are making an impact on the first-team, according to the Nottingham Post.

The Reds have bolstered their squad in the last week with four new additions to the squad.

Alexander Milosevic, Leo Bonatini, Pele and Molla Wague were added to boss Martin O’Neill’s ranks.

Swedish defender Milosevic and Bonatini made their debuts in Saturday’s defeat to Birmingham.

With O’Neill’s men slipping further down the Championship table, it already seems imperative that the new recruits make an immediate impact.

Defender Robinson is very confident that the new boys can hit the ground running, having been impressed so far.

He told the Nottingham Post: “I think you will see more from them because they have had good careers. They arrive with a good pedigree and I am sure they will be positive assets for us.

“Alexander played in the centre of defence comfortably. I don’t think he has played in this league before, but he will grow into that. He has to adapt quickly, but I am sure he will do that.

“Bonatini had a chance and it was a good block from the Birmingham lad, to deny him a goal.”

Getting up to speed

Brazilian Bonatini is a particularly good recruit for the Reds following his 12 goals for Wolves last season.

The other three do come with an element of intrigue but Robinson appears adamant that they can have a positive impact on results.

O’Neill is still trying to establish what is very best squad is and supporters might see some more of the new lads this weekend when Brentford arrive at the City Ground.

The Championship is a tough league to adapt to.

For Pele, Wague and Milosevic the challenge will be to ensure that the transitional process is a smooth one.
