Nottingham Forest will look to right the wrongs of last weekend’s defeat at Birmingham City when they take on Brentford on Saturday.

The Reds will return to the City Ground looking to make it two home successes on the spin following a win over Wigan in the last home contest.

Martin O’Neill will be desperate to find a winning formula.

His side will need to improve their form drastically if they are to gatecrash the top six and reach the Championship play-offs.

Michael Dawson, Tobias Figueiredo and Michael Hefele are all long-term absentees.

Molla Wague could make his debut after arriving from Udinese.

After smashing five past Blackburn and three past Barnet, it doesn’t look like Thomas Frank will change much.

There are no fresh injury concerns for Frank to contend with for the trip north.

Likely Line-Ups

Forest (4-1-4-1): Pantilimon; Darikwa, Milosevic, Wague, Robinson; Yacob; Cash, Guedioura, Carvalho, Lolley; Bonatini

Brentford (3-4-3): Bentley; Konsa, Jeanvier, Barbet; Dalsgaard, Mokotjo, Sawyers, Henry; Watkins, Maupay, Benrahma

Match Preview

Forest have failed to find the net in seven of their last 10 Championship fixures and that must change.

Martin O’Neill has arrived at the club at an awkward time and already he can ill-afford any more disappointments if his side are to reach the top six.

The boss has tried a few different things in his three games in charge so far and he quickly needs to get wins on the board.

The atmosphere at home has occasionally been subdued and O’Neill needs his side to be ready from the off against a resurgent Brentford.

The Bees are have netted three or more goals in five games running for the first time since the club joined the Football League.

Following a slow start under Thomas Frank, they have now picked up considerably.

A win on Saturday would put them two points behind Forest and have them thinking of a late run towards the top six.

They are facing the ideal fixture in which to continue their good form.

Forest have won just once in the last nine outings against Brentford in all competitions.

One to Watch

Neal Maupay may be the top goalscorer for the Bees but Ollie Watkins makes them tick.

The former Exeter City man has nine goals and five assists this season, meaning Forest will need to watch the 23-year-old.

The versatile attacker netted twice against Blackburn during last weekend’s Championship game and he is bang in form.

Forest are likely to play another game with a makeshift back four and Watkins will be hoping to take advantage of that.
