It has been a pretty frustrating maiden season in English football for Nottingham Forest’s Hillal Soudani following his switch from Dinamo Zagreb
The Algerian has missed the majority of his first campaign in England due to a knee injury.
He is now edging closer to full fitness, however, after the player tweeted an update of his progress, which said:
After 4 Monthes !! 🙏⚽️ pic.twitter.com/Ll9mcmFvDx

The 31-year-old looked like he was more than capable of doing a job for the team before suffering the injury.
He netted the winning goal during the 1-0 victory over Reading earlier in the season, before scoring a late equaliser against Wigan Athletic.
With Aitor Karanka now departed it will be interesting to see whether Soudani has a future under Martin O’Neill.

His return would be a timely boost for the Reds this season, although that seems unlikely at this stage.
Lewis Grabban is currently nursing an Achilles injury leaving Daryl Murphy, Leo Bonatini and Karim Ansarifard to battle it out for the striking berth.
Soudani hasn’t played since October and it would represent a shock if he did make it back before the end of the season.
The latest update has offered some hope however and leaves Forest fans wondering if they might see the forward before May.
Some Forest fans have taken to Twitter with excitement over Soudani’s update.
We rounded up the best tweets as he steps up his recovery.
Looks a lovely setting to do your rehab 👍

Wow. O’Neill played down a return before the end of the season, but why? There’s every chance he could be fit for one of the last games at this rate.
