Nottingham Forest legend Stan Collymore says that Wolves’ impressive campaign is because of an ‘old school’ dressing room.
Speaking in his column for The Mirror, the ex-striker cites comparisons to the squad he played with at the City Ground.

Forest won promotion in 1993/94 before finishing third during their first season back in the Premier League.
To this date, it is the highest a newly promoted side has finished in the top flight.
Collymore clearly sees similarities between the Wolves of now and the Forest of old.
He said in The Mirror: “I look at Wolves now and see the same sort of old school dressing room we had at the City Ground.

“Back in the Nottingham Forest days, Stuart Pearce knew the importance of getting the lads together for nights out.
“He’d organise trips to Madness concerts. He knew how vital it was to build an atmosphere at the club and a dressing room in which everyone trusted each other.”
Collymore scored 41 goals in 65 appearances for the Reds.
Seat Pitch Verdict
Collymore clearly thinks Wolves have done a fantastic job, although these comments suggest that he doesn’t think people should forget about Forest.
A lot of talk from various pundits has been that Wolves are the best ever promoted side. Statistically speaking, they aren’t.

The Forest class of 94/95 are still the best newly promoted side given where they finished.
Nuno Espirito Santo has done a magnificent job.
He has, however, spent millions getting Wolves into a position where they can compete.
Frank Clark did the unthinkable on a budget that represents peanuts compared to that of Wolves’ today.
