Joe Worrall completed another 90 minutes for Rangers yesterday as they were defeated 2-1 by fierce rivals Celtic.

The Gers were beaten late in the day as James Forrest struck to deny Steven Gerrard’s side a point.

Worrall’s loan spell has been somewhat inconsistent so far, but since the turn of the year, he has looked impressive.

The key thing in terms of him returning to the City Ground in the summer is that he is playing regular football.

The whole point of Aitor Karanka loaning him out in the first place was to play football and Gerrard has ensured that.

Yesterday wasn’t Worrall’s best afternoon, however, with Rangers quick to pull him up on a disappointing showing via Twitter.

There still seems to be a willingness to play out from the back in Worrall’s game that often throws his team-mates under pressure.

It was evident when he became a regular in Mark Warburton’s team at Forest.

With experience, there is hope that he will hone such a skill to perfection but for now, he remains somewhat raw.
