The 26-year-old has been voted the Championship club’s Player of the Season for the 2018/19 campaign.
Joe Lolley claimed Nottingham Forest’s prestigious award yesterday afternoon. He beat off the likes of Jack Colback and João Carvalho by picking up a huge 56 percent of the vote.
The winger has become a fan’s favourite after signing from Premier League side Huddersfield Town for an undisclosed fee reported to be just £450,000 (Transfermarkt) last January.

Superb
On top of his superb all-round play, Lolley has also weighed in with 10 goals and 11 assists in the league. It’s fair to say the Reds wouldn’t have been challenging for a place in the play-offs at times this season if it wasn’t for his contribution.
The winger has joined the likes of Des Walker, Stuart Pearce and Andy Reid on an illustrious list of former winners. The fact he won the vote by such a convincing margin, is testament to how much he is appreciated by the fanbase.

The winger took to Twitter on Friday to thank all the supporters who had voted for him:
Here is how some of the Reds faithful responded to his tweet:
The highlight of Lolley’s season will undoubtedly have been the 5-5 draw against Aston Villa in November. He picked up four assists, as well as scoring a superb long-range strike. It was one of the best individual performances from any player in the Championship this season.

With one more game to go, Lolley will be hoping to add to his tally against Bolton Wanderers. He’ll no doubt be linked with a Premier League move in the summer. But it seems he’s committed to the Reds for the time being.
