Bristol City winger Callum O’Dowda is attracting interest from a number of Championship clubs, and Nottingham Forest could be one of them.
A recent report in Bristol Live has touted Forest, Leeds United and Stoke City as potential destinations for the 24-year-old winger.
O’Dowda’s future at Ashton Gate is currently in doubt, despite him enjoying another productive season in the Championship.
The Republic of Ireland international has stalled on signing a new contract. This has led to speculation over a rift with manager Lee Johnson. It now seems inevitable that he’ll leave the club this summer.

O’Dowda still has a year left on his current contract. The Robins will want to attract as much money for the winger as they possibly can.
MORE FOREST STORIES
He hasn’t made an appearance for the Robins since the 12 March against Ipswich Town. However, in the 31 appearances he made in the Championship last season, he picked up four goals and four assists. He’s a quality player at this level.
And Forest, Leeds United and Stoke City have been touted as potential destinations for O’Dowda by the local press.

Quality
Martin O’Neill will already have identified what areas he wants to strengthen at the City Ground this summer. It’s fair to say that adding to his attacking personnel will be one of his priorities.
The Reds are certainly lacking in wide areas. Joe Lolley was the main source of creativity from out wide last season. He won’t be able to get the Reds promoted all by himself.
O’Dowda’s pace and forward energy would certainly make the Reds much more of a threat going forward. He would be guaranteed to be pushing for a place in the starting line-up.

However, one of the main issues could be the amount of money that the Robins demand. It’s unknown how much money O’Neill has been given to spend this summer.
But it’s unlikely that he would want to spend the majority of it on one player. In O’Dowda’s case though, he would certainly be a quality addition ahead of next season.
