Apostolos Vellios could be set to end his Nottingham Forest nightmare with a move to Greek outfit Atromitos, according to Greek outlet Sportime.
The Reds striker endured a mediocre loan spell last season with Belgian club Waasland-Beveren. He netted four goals and finished the season out of the first-team reckoning altogether having fallen way out of favour.

Atromitos finished fourth in the Greek Super League last season, qualifying for the Europa League in the process.
Vellios is out of contract at the City Ground next summer and there looks to be no way back for him.

In 45 appearances for the Reds, he has netted eight goals.
He arrived from Iraklis for £1 million when Philippe Montanier was Forest’s manager, starting life on Trentside in a decent fashion.
Standout moments included a thunderbolt during a 2-2 draw with Aston Villa and a stunning bicycle kick against Rotherham United.
Seat Pitch Summary
Vellios has never quite cut the mustard at Forest.
A scorer of great goals, as opposed to a great goalscorer, he will be sent on his way with the Reds’ best wishes during the summer.

A move back to his homeland would work best for all parties.
He badly lost his way last season during his time in Belgium and that has pretty much scuppered any reprieve with Forest.
Martin O’Neill will be under pressure to trim down the squad and Vellios simply has to be one of those moving on.
