Albert Adomah is excited by the creativity Nottingham Forest now boast in their ranks and the potential of his partnership with Lewis Grabban.

Two familiar faces have been reunited at the City Ground.

A previous meeting back in 2018 was somewhat brief.

Grabban secured himself a loan switch to Aston Villa in January of that year and joined a squad in the West Midlands which included one A. Adomah.

The pair helped the Villans to the Championship play-off final, only to come up short against Fulham.

The target for both men is to go one step further in 2019-20.

Adomah managed that last season, but has now linked up with Forest as a free agent.

His creativity and eye for goal has been bought into by Sabri Lamouchi.

The hope is that he can provide the ammunition for Grabban and Co to fire.

Adomah is looking forward to working on that supply line, telling Seat Pitch courtesy of the club’s media department: “We only played about 20 games together maximum at Villa.

“When he was there, we did well and just missed out on the last hurdle.

“Now I’m back working with him and I’m sure we can connect more and maybe I can assist him more and he can score more goals.

“He’s a proven striker in this league and I think, like myself, he’s been promoted I think four times. I’m playing catch-up with him but it will be a great feeling if we both get promotion with Forest.”

If Adomah and Grabban were to lead a Premier League charge, then they would become instant heroes on Trentside.

They are, however, not the only ones carrying the keys to the top-flight.

Forest have worked hard to find greater spark in the final third.

Adomah has been joined in the arrivals lounge this summer by the likes of Tiago Silva and Sammy Ameobi.

Joe Lolley, Matty Cash, Arvin Appiah and Joao Carvalho were waiting on the other side of the door.

There is a feeling that, with another striker added to the pot, Forest are starting to put all of the pieces together.

Adomah added: “It’s always good to see creative players at any team.

“Forest are building with the talent of Joe and even the young boy Appiah. And also Grabs as the striker and myself added to it.

“Cash as well, let’s not forget him, and I’m sure we can all work together. Sammy as well.

“There are new faces and old faces but I’m sure we can all combine together.”

Forest have a few more pre-season outings to find the right combination before the real business kicks off against West Brom on August 3.
