Nottingham Forest are interested in signing journeyman midfielder John Bostock, according to The Sun on Sunday (Print Edition, 21/07; page 61)
The 27-year-old is currently with Ligue 1 outfit Toulouse where he played 20 times last season.
In recent year Bostock has become something of a European journeyman. Since leaving Tottenham in 2013 he has played for Royal Antwerp, OH Leuven, Lens and Bursaspor, joining Toulouse last summer.
Forest boss Sabri Lamouchi is keen to strengthen his ranks prior to the new season starting and defensive midfielder Bostock appears to be on the radar.
The report suggests that Forest have made contact with Toulouse regarding Bostock; although Reading and Brentford are both interested in signing the player too.
Lamouchi’s squad has been bolstered by six new additions so far and more are set to follow prior to the transfer window closing.

When he emerged from the Crystal Palace academy he was lauded as one of the most exciting teenagers in English football.
He may have failed to scale the heights that his potential suggested but he was in decent form for Toulouse last season.
Ben Watson and Claudio Yacob aren’t getting any younger and some fresher legs in the middle of the park could be useful.
One or two injuries to central midfielders could leave Forest short and doing a deal for Bostock would be wise in that sense.
Bostock’s arrival won’t really do much to excite the supporters, however.
One or two stellar additions prior to the window closing would be ideal to aid Forest’s hopeful promotion push.
