Ben Osborn’s move from Nottingham Forest to Sheffield United looks to be edging closer after Nottinghamshire Live confirmed ‘significant progress’ had been made.
The Reds had rejected an offer of £3 million earlier this month, but it would appear a bid has now been accepted.
Osborn made his debut in 2014, rising through the academy ranks. He will leave the club having made 230 appearances on Trentside.

A deal could be completed in the next 24 hours and the time does seem right to cash in.
The utility man is out of contract next summer and Osborn would then be able to depart on a free.
That would be a blow for Forest and in recouping a sum of money, it could allow boss Sabri Lamouchi the sufficient funds to complete his squad.
Osborn has been a loyal servant over the years and has perhaps been an underrated performer for the club.
In hindsight, his inability to hold down a regular position has proved problematic.

He has filled in at left-back, in midfield and out on the wing but has always played second fiddle to more natural performers in those roles.
Following the news that a departure is imminent, we looked at what Forest fans were saying on Twitter:
