Nottingham Forest are reportedly ‘close’ to securing the capture of Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Rafa Mir, according to Nottinghamshire Live.
Rafa Mir wouldn’t be the first player that the Reds have signed from Wolves in recent times.
Martin O’Neill signed Léo Bonatini from Molineux a couple of months ago, on a loan deal until the end of the 2018/19 campaign. However, the 25-year-old failed to make an impact for the Reds.

But according to a report, the Reds might want to now try their luck with one of his team-mates.
Nottinghamshire Live have claimed that the Reds are ‘close’ to securing a deal for Rafa Mir. A medical is set to take place in the next 24 hours and the forward would arrive on loan for the 2019/20 campaign.
The former Spain Under-21 international has been linked with a move away from the Premier League side this summer, but it seemed a move to Birmingham City was more likely.

Here’s how Forest fans reacted to potentially signing the 22-year-old forward:
make the move permanent as he’s unlikely to hit the ground the running but does have lots of upside at just 22. Decision making especially in shot selection needs to be worked on but that can easily come with age..option B for us. #NFFC

Mir might not have the best record but has got really good pedigree/potential. Might just be another hidden gem .. #NFFC

Why can’t we just get us a decent striker Or 2 !!! We can’t be winning games if we don’t for god sakes all the hard work , staff and players wages & supporters money will get wasted yet again !!!! It really baffles me how the club thinks ! #NFFC just get on with it will you !

There are only 10 days left for the Reds to sign anyone and, given how difficult it is to sign a striker at this level, snapping up Mir on a loan deal may be sensible business. As it stands, Lewis Grabban and Tyler Walker are the only strikers in Sabri Lamouchi’s plans for next season.

However, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the latter leave on loan if Mir was to arrive at the City Ground.
Mir has only made two appearances for Wolves since signing for £1.5 million from La Liga side Valencia. He is yet to find the back of the net for Nuno Espírito Santo’s side.
