A Nottingham Forest XI claimed a credible 1-1 draw at League One outfit Lincoln City last night.
Forest’s goal was scored by highly-rated academy prospect Virgil Gomis, who also missed a chance to win it for the Reds from the penalty spot.
Several out of favour players were named in Jimmy Gilligan’s team. Daryl Murphy, Zach Clough, Jason Cummings and Luke Steele all earned more minutes.

The situation with goalkeeper Steele is an interesting one.
A report by Nottinghamshire Live claimed that the ex-Panathinaikos stopper was surplus to requirements, along with Liam Bridcutt, Murphy and Michael Hefele.
Steele quickly took to Twitter to quash those rumours and his future now seems uncertain.
The 34-year-old has been an unused substitute for the two home friendlies against Crystal Palace and Real Sociedad.

He will seemingly be ahead of Jordan Smith in the pecking order, so it remains to be seen whether he will be Aro Muric’s understudy in Saturday’s opener.
Nobody has ever doubted Steele’s professionalism. He acted as backup to Costel Pantilimon last season and did okay when called upon.
Following last night’s game, he took to Twitter to praise the youngsters coming through at the club:
Following Steele’s tweet, Forest fans responded to praise the goalkeeper for his professionalism.
