Nottingham Forest midfielder Adlène Guedioura is reportedly attracting interest from other clubs, with just four days of the transfer window left.

According to a report from The Sun on Sunday (04/08), Nottingham Forest midfielder Adlène Guedioura is attracting interest from abroad. Sabri Lamouchi may well allow the 33-year-old midfielder to leave.

According to the Nottingham Post, the 50-cap international asked the Reds to consider allowing him to leave a few days ago. The midfielder impressed as he helped Algeria win the Africa Cup of Nations this summer.

His performances for the Greens seems to have attracted interest from a number of potential suitors abroad. According to the Nottingham Post, one of these clubs is Kuwaiti side Al Kuwait. They are believed to have already put a concrete offer on the table.

Lamouchi has already spoken about his desire to reduce the size of his squad. There’s no doubt that he does already have plenty of midfield options. Guedioura is in no way guaranteed regular football this season.

Sensible

For that reason, it would make sense if the Reds did grant his wish and allow him to leave. It would help ease the mounting wage bill at the City Ground.

Speaking on Guedioura’s demand last week, Lamouchi told the Nottingham Post: “I can understand the situation, so the club are doing the job of finding the best way for the club and also for the player.”

Having snapped up Samba Sow last week, there wouldn’t be any need for the Reds to sign a replacement for Guedioura. They already have plenty of options throughout the squad.

The Reds only have four days left to make additions to their squad. However, clubs from abroad would still be able to sign Guedioura even after this week’s deadline.

It would be better for both the club and player to get a deal done as soon as possible though.
