Was always likely to be a signing like this I think. If we’d wanted someone better than Grabban, that would’ve cost a massive amount.

Never heard of him, not that that means much. Barely scored a goal in last two years a little more worrying

French market is interesting and there are plenty of gems. Depends on cost I guess.

Concerns
There’s no doubt that the Reds do need to add to their attacking options this week. Only Lewis Grabban and Rafa Mir are in Lamouchi’s plans for this season. That leaves him considerably short of options.

However, it’s easy to see why some fans are concerned about the potential signing of Mendy.
The 25-year-old spent the majority of last season on loan at En Avant de Guingamp. He made 20 appearances for Les Guingampais, contributing just four goals. The striker does not have a great record goalscoring wise.

Moreover, the Reds don’t have room to be signing players that won’t significantly improve the team. Mendy is not a player who is going to make the Reds that much better.
