Nottingham Forest are close to completing a deal for goalkeeper Brice Samba, after terms were agreed with Caen, according to French outlet Actu.
The only formality of the £3.6 million deal to complete is a medical which is due to take place today as per the report.
Samba has spent his whole career playing in France and makes his first foray elsewhere in Europe.

The 25-year-old is known for his speed across his line and is also an uncompromising aerial presence too.
Rennes and Montpellier have also been interested in the custodian, although Forest look to have won the race.
Soccer Link have reported as much, claiming that a ‘total agreement’ has been reached for the player to move to Nottingham.
Aro Muric was in between the posts for the Reds on Saturday and his error gifted West Brom their equaliser in the first half.

The on-loan Manchester City stopper is expected to carry on as the club’s number one, with Samba now likely to act as his understudy.
The Seat Pitch Summary
If the Samba deal does go ahead as expected, a couple of goalkeepers will surely depart.
Costel Pantilimon, Luke Steele and Jordan Smith will all see their future’s questioned when Samba does complete the formalities of his City Ground switch.

Having five goalkeepers in the squad isn’t sustainable and two will surely depart before the deadline on Thursday.
It will be interesting to see what part Samba does play. Having been first-choice for the past two seasons he will hope to force his way into contention.
Muric is unlikely to get dropped on the back of one average performance but with Samba breathing down his back he will know he needs to up his game.
