As the end of the transfer window edges closer, Nottingham Forest will hope to finalise their squad before tomorrow’s cut-off.

Boss Sabri Lamouchi needs his team to bounce back from Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at West Brom when his team travel to Leeds United this weekend.

He will hope to have a few new faces within his ranks by then and we looked at four deals he should complete before tomorrow’s cut-off:

Jack Colback

The Chronicle Live has previously reported that the ex-Forest loanee is facing a fight to be in Steve Bruce’s 25-man Premier League squad.

That should be music to Forest’s ears who would surely welcome the maestro back to the City Ground in a flash.

In a squad littered with unknown quantities, the £35,000-a-week man (Spotrac) is the man with Championship know-how that Forest crave before the window slams shut.

Mehdi Zeffane

The club is apparently pursuing the services of Carl Jenkinson to plug the right-back void, but Zeffane would be a better option.

An Algeria international, the 27-year-old would be available on a free after leaving Rennes at the end of last season.

The chance to sign a quality player on a free transfer shouldn’t be deemed an opportunity missed by Forest; they might regret not completing this deal.

Ben Gibson

It seems certain that the signing of a central defender will take place, with Sabri Lamouchi keen to add a left-sided player.

The race to land Gibson looks like going to the wire and the Burnley man would be a class addition.

He lost his way last season at Turf Moor but that shouldn’t mask the fact that he knows the Championship inside out.

Leonardo Ulloa

Keeping it real a little bit here, it seems unlikely Forest will get the big-name talisman which the supporters crave.

Forest have one of those, however, in Lewis Grabban so throwing our weight behind his ability, Ulloa would be a decent signing as a different option.

The 33-year-old would only be a short-term fix, but his aerial presence and hold up ability could make him a solid signing.
