Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes had told the Daily Record that Sheffield Wednesday and QPR have angered him in the chase for Nottingham Forest target Scott McKenna.
The Dons are wanting in the region of £7 million for their highly-rated centre-back but the timing of recent bids has disgruntled the boss.
Wednesday are fresh bidders in the last couple of days, whilst QPR are also thought to have returned with another offer.

Forest remain in the hunt for a central defender and that could see them return with an offer closer to Aberdeen’s valuation.
McInnes isn’t happy at the timing of these bids, however, considering the club faces a massive Europa League game.
He told the Daily Record: “Any club who is trying to do a deal so close to the game shows a total disregard for us, on the eve of such an important fixture.

“It is hardly ideal preparation. It’s a Europa League game, a very important one for us and these clubs have had the whole summer to do a deal and there is a danger of anger, frustration and contempt towards these clubs for trying to put their best foot forward now.”
Aberdeen face Rijeka this evening in Croatia and McInnes confirmed that the central defender will play.
He continued: “The team is picked and he is playing. We did our preparation in Aberdeen yesterday morning and unless I am told differently Scott will be playing.”

Forest are hopeful of adding four new players to their ranks before today’s 5pm deadline.
Whether McKenna is one of those players it remains to be seen.
Forest do boast a plethora of central defenders for Lamouchi to choose from and targeting another option in that area is perhaps a surprise.
