For the second successive away game, Nottingham Forest battled their way to a 1-1 draw when taking a point away from a trip to Charlton.
A torrid first-half display at The Valley suggested that the Reds could be in for a long evening.
Improvement was made after surviving a few scares, though, and – like at Elland Road against Leeds – Sabri Lamouchi’s men found a way of salvaging something.
Here, Seat Pitch offers a mark out of 10 for those who know greater consistency is required after taking a step backwards from the positive performance put in against Birmingham.
Ratings
Aro Muric – 6
A couple of smart saves which kept the Reds in the game were countered by a few flaps and some poor distribution. Still searching for consistency.
Carl Jenkinson – 6
Needs minutes to get up to speed and grew into the game after a slow start. Having an actual right-back in that berth should prove beneficial in time.

Michael Dawson – 8
The only blot on his copybook is the fact that Charlton’s goal came from the man he was covering. Apart from that he looked assured in a promising centre-half partnership.
Joe Worrall – 8
The kind of performance which suggests that he has learned lessons from the past and is starting to fulfil his potential. Barely put a foot wrong.
Jack Robinson – 5
Far too much of the threat posed by the Addicks came down his side of the field. Not entirely his fault, but found himself chasing shadows at times.
Matty Cash – 5
Barely had a kick back in what is supposed to be his favoured position. Energetic as always, but his inability to square for a free Lewis Grabban came before an inevitable substitution.

Alfa Semedo – 5
So impressive over the opening weeks of the season, but was brought back down to earth with a bump. Squandered possession throughout. Hopefully a rare off day.
Ben Watson – 5
Has become a scapegoat for many but really isn’t doing his cause any favours. Looks a yard off the pace and never entirely sure as to where he should be – often far too deep.
Tiago Silva – 6
Not his best display, admittedly, but did at least show a few nice touches – particularly in the first half when everyone around him toiled. Faded as the game wore on.
Sammy Ameobi – 5
Charged with the task of covering for Joe Lolley on the left and didn’t come close to filling that void. May be better as an impact player after all.

Lewis Grabban – 5
Another one of those days for the Forest frontman. Got very little service and when he did get a sight of goal, he either wanted too many touches or blazed high into the stands.
Substitutes
John Bostock (Semedo, 64’) – 7
Brought a semblance of control to proceedings in the middle of the park. Another of those with the promise to offer much more when fully up to speed.
Albert Adomah (Cash, 64’) – 6
Proved to be an inspired introduction as he crashed home the equaliser. Did his best to get involved after losing his spot of late to Ameobi.
Rafa Mir (Ameobi, 76’) – 5
One tame effort from distance is about all he contributed to the collective cause. Difficult to make an impact in a string of cameo appearances.
