Nottingham Forest sent their supporters home happy after thrashing Derby County 3-0 to secure a passage into the third round of the Carabao Cup.

Goals from Albert Adomah, Joe Lolley and the returning Joao Carvalho ensured a comfortable night for the Reds on Trentside.

Boss Sabri Lamouchi made eight changes to the side that defeated Fulham at the weekend. Derby opted to throw several youngsters into their team, although the Reds still fielded a starting eleven with a younger average age.

One of the three players who did keep hold of his place was goalkeeper Brice Samba.

The Nottingham Post reported that he was added to the ranks for just £1.9 million from Caen and he already looks money well spent.

Last night against the Rams he didn’t have loads to do in the way of shot-stopping but his overall commanding of his area was excellent; including his ability to pluck crosses out of the sky.

He already seems a popular figure with the club’s supporters too. He took to Twitter after the game to tweet a photo that delighted the contingent of Forest fans:

Following last night’s game, lots of Forest supporters were keen to praise his eye-catching performance and some think a star has been found.

The 25-year-old has already ousted on-loan Manchester City stopper Arijanet Muric and now looks like being established as the club’s number one.
