Nottingham Forest reached round three of the Carabao Cup with an emphatic 3-0 victory over Derby County at the City Ground.
Both Sabri Lamouchi and Phillip Cocu opted to rest players but it was Forest’s second string that prevailed on a pulsating night on Trentside.
The Forest goals were scored by Albert Adomah, Joe Lolley and Joao Carvalho, who was making his first appearance of the campaign.

It was perhaps the performance of Adomah that caught the eye. He gave Duane Holmes at right-back the runaround, assisting the second goal for Lolley.
Adomah arrived at the City Ground on a free transfer having left Aston Villa at the end of last season.
Alfa Semedo won the official Man of the Match on the night but the 31-year-old winger might have been a close second just behind him.
The win saw Forest retain the Brian Clough Trophy which they wrestled back from Derby by beating them in the league back in February.

Adomah is a vastly experienced performer at Championship level. He has played 377 games in the second tier, bagging 62 goals and 63 assists.
On his early-season form, he looks like he could be a really good player for the Reds and following the game supporters took to Twitter.
Here is a selection of tweets from Forest supporters regarding Adomah’s performance against the Rams:
