Nottingham Forest youngster Arvin Appiah completed his switch to Almería on Deadline Day, with the Reds recouping £8 million for their academy graduate.
The Reds confirmed the move on their official website on Deadline Day. The 18-year-old wasn’t the only one to depart the City Ground earlier this week. Liam Bridcutt left on loan, whilst Jason Cummings and Daryl Murphy also left on a permanent basis.

It wasn’t so much of a shock that the teenager left the City Ground, but more so the fee the club received. Recouping £8 million for a player who hasn’t featured in a squad for a league game under Sabri Lamouchi seems very good business.
That being said, there is still a slight feeling of disappointment to lose a player of his potential. According to The Sun, the highly-rated youngster has previously been tracked by Manchester United.

‘I am a bit sad’
Unsurprisingly, the transfer generated a lot of discussion on social media about whether or not it was a good deal for the Reds.
Former Nottingham Forest favourite Guy Moussi was one to get involved with the debate. He sent out a tweet earlier today on his personal Twitter account giving his honest opinion on the deal.

“I am a bit sad to see a talent like that leaving our club, but I wish him all the very best,” the tweet read.
“On another hand, I am really pleased to see British players going abroad to play football. I am sure that it will have a huge positive impact for English football.”
Appiah could make his debut for Rojiblancos this weekend against Málaga in their Segunda División clash at the La Rosaleda Stadium.
