Nottingham Forest defender Michael Dawson had made an interesting comparison between Sabri Lamouchi and Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino (Nottingham Post).
The Argentine boss took Spurs to the Champions League final last season and is widely regarded as one of the best up-and-coming managers in Europe.

Current Forest boss Lamouchi has enjoyed a decent start to life in English football and Dawson sees similarities between the two bosses.
He told the Nottingham Post: “I had a short spell with Mauricio at Spurs before I left, and yes, his thoroughness, his way of playing. It takes time. You’ve got to get the right players and the right blend – and he’s doing that.
“We’re all still learning. He’s learning as well; he’s the first to say that. But he’s great to work with – his energy, his willingness to learn the league.”
Dawson has played all six of Forest’s league games and he is already nearing the 10 appearances that he managed for the entire 2018/19 campaign.
The 35-year-old says the approach of the Frenchman is very meticulous and the team are prepared to go into games.
He continued: “He talks about all the (Forest) goals from last year that he’s watched – conceded and scored.

“There’s nothing left uncovered when we go into games. He’s great. I am loving working with him. He’s looking after me and I’m playing games so long may it continue.”
The Forest captain will hope to lead Forest to another win on the road when Championship football resumes for the Reds away at Swansea City after the international break.
Seat Pitch Summary – Glowing reference for Forest boss
Central defender Dawson has certainly given Lamouchi some high praise here – and why shouldn’t he?
Lamouchi arrived at Forest to replace a club legend and that was never going to be an easy challenge.

He has stuck to his guns though and quickly began learning about the English game.
Some aspects of Forest’s games so far haven’t been perfect but to remain unbeaten in seven games since the opening day of the season definitely signals signs of optimism.
Of course, Lamouchi isn’t anywhere near the bracket of Pochettino just yet given his successes with Tottenham, but the face is management style is similar should excite Forest supporters.
Long may it continue!
