Sabri Lamouchi saw his Nottingham Forest side continue their recent unbeaten run as they beat fellow promotion hopefuls Swansea City.
The Frenchman will have been delighted with his side’s performance against the league leaders at the Liberty Stadium. It was arguably the best performance that the Reds have produced so far this season.
The Reds should’ve taken the lead in the first-half but squandered a number of good opportunities. However, a well-worked goal from Alfa Semedo in the latter stages of the game ensured the Reds came away with all three points.

There’s no doubt that the Reds thoroughly deserved the victory. They’ll be slightly disappointed that they weren’t able to make it easier for themselves by converting some of their chances earlier on in the game.
The Swans have made an impressive start to the season under the management of Steve Cooper. They are now fancied by many to push for promotion this season. There aren’t many teams who will be able to come away from the Liberty Stadium with all three points this season.
It certainly wasn’t a bad response to being held to a frustrating draw by Preston North End before the international break.

However, Lamouchi is keen for his side to build on the victory. His side are yet to secure back-to-back wins in the Championship this season.
‘It is important to keep going’
He told the club’s official website post-match: “To win here is not easy, we are the first ones to do it so it is great for the future, and to play with the same mentality to achieve the three points against Barnsley next Saturday.
“We haven’t won two games in a row yet and it is important to keep going and keep this mentality.
“I have nice players, a nice group and they are working hard so it is good. They must enjoy this victory, it is not easy to win here.”
There’s no doubt that the Reds have drastically improved since their opening day performance against West Brom. Lamouchi is still only a matter of months into the job but is clearly on the right path.

The Reds now have a huge opportunity to secure back-to-back wins in the Championship for the first time this season. Barnsley were beaten 2-0 at home by Leeds United earlier this afternoon.
They will arrive at the City Ground sat above the relegation zone on goal difference alone.
It is this sort of game that the Reds have struggled with in the past, so it will be interesting to see if they can get the job done next weekend.
