Nottingham Forest defender Alexander Milošević is yet to make an appearance under the management of Sabri Lamouchi this season.

Alexander Milošević has shared a message with Nottingham Forest supporters on Instagram after he was left out of the Lamouchi’s squad again at the weekend.

The Reds strengthened their squad further in the summer with numerous new signings. Chema Rodríguez was the only new centre-back to join the club. At the weekend, Tobias Figueiredo was the only centre-back named on the bench for the win against Swansea City.

Lamouchi has stuck with Michael Dawson and Joe Worrall as his preferred centre-back pairing so far this season, and there’s been no reason to change that.

This did come as a surprise to many supporters at the start of the season. Milošević had impressed in the latter stages of last season under the management of Martin O’Neill. He made 12 appearances in the Championship after joining on an 18-month contract in January.

‘I’m still alive’

Milošević isn’t the only player being kept out of the side by Dawson and Worrall. The likes of Figueiredo and Rodríguez are also having to be patient. Lamouchi has had no reason to drop either of Dawson or Worrall, as they have been performing so consistently well.

Milošević sent this message from his personal Instagram account yesterday afternoon, and seems to still be in good spirits.

Despite not being able to break into Lamouchi’s starting line-up as of yet, there’s still a long way to go this season. There is still a huge number of games to play and with the Reds still being involved in the Carabao Cup, Milošević could well get his chance to impress soon.

The 27-year-old will be hoping he can break his way into the 18-man squad this weekend. The Reds are looking to continue their recent unbeaten run when Barnsley arrive at the City Ground.
