Sabri Lamouchi saw his Nottingham Forest side continue their recent unbeaten run as they beat struggling Barnsley at the weekend.

The Frenchman won’t have been satisfied with his side’s performance at the City Ground though. The Reds weren’t at their best but they were still able to grind out the three points to move into the play-off places.

There’s no doubt that the Reds have made a very promising start to the season. They’ll be slightly disappointed that they aren’t in an even better position. They are currently just two points off the top of the division.

The Reds are now set to turn their attention back to the Carabao Cup. Having seen off Fleetwood Town and Derby County so far, they were rewarded with a trip to the Emirates to face Arsenal.

Having never played at the Emirates before, it’s set to be a great occasion tonight. Over 8,000 supporters will be making the trip down to North London from Nottingham, hoping the unbeaten run can continue.

‘The priority for me is very clear’

Arsenal secured a dramatic comeback victory against Aston Villa at the weekend, having been involved in the Europa League last week. It wouldn’t be a surprise if Unai Emery made wholesale changes for tomorrow night’s game.

It’ll certainly be interesting to see how Lamouchi approaches the game. In the last round against Derby, he opted to make five changes to his starting line-up. However, those changes didn’t weaken the team and the Reds still came out comfortable winners.

Speaking to the club’s official website ahead of the match, Lamouchi has hinted that he will pick a strong starting line-up to respect the fans that have travelled. He said: “The priority for me is very clear but we are focussed right now on the Carabao Cup.

“I don’t want to make a lot of people disappointed with maybe a big loss or a humiliation, we just want to put the best team for the competition, for this game against a big club.

“We must respect the fans, the club as we are a big club also, and we want to do our best and put in the best performance.”
