Nottingham Forest’s impressive start to the season showed no signs of slowing down this weekend.
Sabri Lamouchi’s side secured another victory away at Stoke City, which saw them temporarily move to the top of the Championship. It wasn’t the best performance from the Reds, but they were able to secure another vital three points.
After yesterday’s games, the Reds find themselves just one point off league leaders West Bromwich Albion. They are one point above Leeds United who were heavily-fancied before the season got underway.

There’s no doubt that people are now starting to see the Lamouchi’s men as genuine promotion contenders.
Their latest victory was broadcast live on Sky Sports, and pundit Lee Hendrie was full of praise for the Reds. He believes that they’ve got a very good chance of securing promotion to the Premier League this season.
Speaking live on Sky Sports, he said: “He’s (Lamouchi) getting the best out of the team. They’ve got a very good bunch of players.

“The players he’s brought on, Adomah looked sharp and lively. They’ve got a very good chance this season.
“They way they defended really stood out for me and the counter attacking was very good too.”
It’s fair to say that Lamouchi has got a very good squad of players at his disposal this season. Evangelos Marinakis has certainly backed him in the transfer market by allowing the club to sign a number of quality players.
Not only that, but there’s a physicality to this side which hasn’t been there in previous years. They’ve got the ability to stay in games when they aren’t at their best.

The Reds have already played a number of sides who currently sit in the play-off places. Their next few games see them come up against sides sat lower in the table.
They return to action when they travel to Ewood Park to face Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday night. They will be looking to make it nine games unbeaten in the Championship.
