Nottingham Forest manager Sabri Lamouchi was pictured in the crowd at yesterday’s game between Barnsley and Brentford in the Championship.

It was Thomas Frank’s side who came away with all three points at Oakwell as a hat-trick from Ollie Watkins saw them secure a 3-1 win. It was a superb performance from the Bees, especially considering they had fallen behind within the opening minute.

The Bees will have certainly given Lamouchi plenty to ponder. The Reds face Brentford at the City Ground this weekend in their final game before the international break.

There’s no doubt that the Reds have made a very impressive start to the season. Lamouchi’s men continued their recent good form on Friday with a 3-2 win against Stoke City, which saw them temporarily move to the top of the table.

It’s fair to say that a number of supporters were unconvinced when it was announced that Lamouchi would replace Martin O’Neill as manager. However, the way he has got his side playing, despite another overhaul of players in the summer, is hugely impressive.

Not many people would’ve predicted the Reds to have made this sort of start to the season.

Lamouchi’s standing with the fans is rapidly increasing every week. The fact he was taking in yesterday’s game, when he could’ve been enjoying a day off, has only enhanced his reputation.

Yesterday’s game between Barnsley and Brentford was broadcast live on Sky Sports. There were a number of Nottingham Forest supporters who were quick to share their delight at Lamouchi being in attendance.
