Nottingham Forest weren’t at their fluent best during last night’s 1-1 draw with Blackburn Rovers and boss Sabri Lamouchi will have plenty to ponder ahead of Saturday’s game with Brentford.
The Reds missed the chance to go back to the summit of the Championship and in truth, Tony Mowbray’s team were the more likely to win the game.
Forest fell under siege for the last 20 minutes and but for some solid defending and goalkeeping they may well have lost the game.
Nonetheless, the Reds do maintain their unbeaten run which now stretches to nine games and all the way back to the opening day of the season when West Brom won at the City Ground.
Lamouchi will be demanding more from his players at the weekend when Forest face the Bees prior to the second international break of the 2019/20 campaign.
One man who shone last night was the 34-year-old midfielder, Ben Watson.
The former Watford man was once again the commanding presence in the middle of the park and did a quality job of keeping the influential Bradley Dack at bay.
Watson was captain for the night in the absence of Michael Dawson and even his biggest critics are starting to warm to him.
