Many of you reading this will have formed part of the travelling army which made the trip to Arsenal to catch Nottingham Forest in Carabao Cup action.
In total, 8,391 Reds took in a visit to Emirates Stadium.
Said journey was made in the knowledge that what played out was always likely.
This was not an away day based on hope and expectation.
Those feelings were present, but a meeting with Arsenal always threatened to be a chastening experience.
So it proved.
Did it matter?
Not a jot.
Forest may have headed home on the wrong end of a 5-0 scoreline, but those in the stands had done themselves proud.
As they have been doing for some time.
Allocations
Gone are the dark days of struggling to get bums on seats.
It is a regular occurrence now for interested observers to be turned away.
The ‘Sold Out’ sign at the City Ground has been given a polish and is seeing plenty of air time.
Allocations for contests away from Trentside are also being snapped up quickly, with passion restored to hearts and minds of those who have been longing for something to cling to.
Sabri Lamouchi’s class of 2019-20 is daring us to dream once more.
And the Forest faithful are doing so in remarkable numbers.
To highlight that fact, let us use Tuesday’s visit to Blackburn as a case in point.
There were 12,521 in attendance at Ewood Park, with 1,138 in the away end.
That leaves 11,383 home supporters.

To put that figure into perspective, it is only 2,992 more than Forest took with them to north London.
Fewer than 3,000 home fans turned up to watch their side on their own doorstep than Forest followers packed into plans, trains and automobiles back on September 24.
Yes it was a midweek game, but so was a cup clash in Ashburton Grove.
There was, admittedly, no Premier League lure in Lancashire, no World Cup winners and posh seats.
It was, however, a competitive fixture between two sides sat in the top-half of the division.
Not enough it seems for the Blackburn locals.
To be fair, Rovers have been struggling to get the turnstiles spinning for a while.
That is not an issue at the City Ground, with the average showing for 2019-20 currently standing at 27,831.
Only Leeds can claim to have topped that, with those from down the A52 sat third on 26,786.
Mind the gap!
